So, as a Zutarian, I was naturally drawn to the Makorra ship idea when we first saw Korra and Mako character refs, WAY before the show even started. Then Bryke actually made Makorra canon, and I was overjoyed.
But after seeing "The Spirit of Competition"...
I think I'm moving to the Borra fandom.
I felt SO BAD for Bolin! He was such a sweet, considerate guy who put Korra up on a pedestal. Meanwhile Mako seems like he could care less whether or not the girl even exists.
I need to see the next episode before making this ultimate, life-altering decision.
